Thank god the weekend is over

Yesterday saturday 16th my day starts with busy in the morning making dadih to bring to my sis place in the evening to celebrate my niece Nana's 11th birthday with BBQ at my sis condo... but beofre that I had a wedding lunch to attend of my ex colleague son's at the Marina Mandarin...it was nice to meet all my old friends again from Jurong Hospital some whom I last met more than 10 yrs ago.




Here we are from the GM and lab techonolgist ,pharmacist and matrons we finally get to meet again.

Then today sunday 17th Jan my niece Syida's engagement at 3pm .... I was busy making kuih cara lauk in the morning to bring over and also managed to do a basketful of assorted chocolates since I have lots at home:)

Kenduri tahlil

Tanggal 13th June saya mengadakan kenduri tahlil di rumah sempena setahun bapak meninggalkan kami...alhamdulillah semua Jellanie clan berkumpul bersama anak2,cucu dan juga cicit2 (total 41 of us?bersama sedekah yasin dan doa kepada kedua ibu bapa kami ... semoga mereka tenang di sana.




The box I've been waiting until I didn't even leave home from monday till thursday and then they claimed that they deliver but no one was home!!!!..... what the hack here I daren't even leave home ...... its the yasin I ordered from Dodie 20 pcs in all ...

After getting the contact number and ref no from Dodie I called them on friday morning and I had to collect from their central .... OMG imagine having to brave the heat and whats more had to stand all the way in the train to and fro take takes 50 minutes one way .... I was sweating even in the train which is airconditioned.


All 20 pieces given away and thank you Dodie :)


Only after the confirmation of the parcel I dare myself to go down to the market and got all the necessary stuff for cooking for the next day....... and here are the dishes that I prepared for all of us..... nak pengsan......Ram and family unfortunately had made plan for the weekend so they were the only absentees ...... but she sends her maid on saturday around 12 noon to help and stay the night.Whilst I do the cooking the maid did the cleaning as you know nowadays I have closed one eye doing all these chores and most of all she did my ironing for me...yippee!and not forgetting Aini also send tante earlier at 3pm to help out so between tante and bibik my job is less.


I was drenched with sweat from the heat .... yes drenched wet after 4 hrs of cooking I didn't feel well maybe dehydrated drank plenty of water and rest in my room for an hour..... from 10am till 2pm I did 4 dishes so only need to do 1 more dish later.......

Daging berempah ketumbar jintan I did this first as it takes longer .....

Thank you to my brothers and sisters who came with kuih muih and my niece Huda who did the apple crumbles ... sedap Huda next time can do again huh?... hehehe

My brother Baharudin came with 10 pcs of murtabak ... wah really lots of food ...

I forgot to snap pictures of the kuih muih yesterday as I was too busy but here are the balance left ... pandan chiffon from Aini,kuih bakar from sis in law Saba, banana cake from sis in law Ros, epok2 sardine from my sis Lina and that yummy apple crumbles from my niece Huda...hehe ada juga yg tak membawa apa2 but their present were apreciated.

Insya'allah if time permit hope to do it again next year unless I have volunteer amongst the siblings.

Sutera yg menggeram kan....

Hari ni kami di undang adik lelaki saya pergi makan nasi bryani and murtabak di Arab St tapi sebelum tu saya bersama Aini sempat pergi mencari kain sutera ... alang2 basah biar basah kuyup sekali ..... mmg tak jauh kedai2 kain ni dari tempat yg kami nak pergi makan.

Aini's feberet silk shop tu Bobby mmg mengila bila masuk mata jadi rambang ...... tengok lah.....

Berbagai2 sutera yg dari Thailand pure and raw dan juga dari India ........

Ingat tak ummi365 ada memberi saya kain masa hari jadi saya?jadi saya nak cari silk untuk kain dia jadi dapat lah saya buat 2 helai baju .... itu pun kalau cukup kain nya .... maklum lah badan XL size ni kekadang kain ela tak mencukupi......

Saya lupa pulak membawa kain untuk di pasangkan jadi ikut hati lah mencari warna pink .... ada yg gelap ada yg terang ... eh mana satu ye yg match?.... akhir nya saya pilih yg warna di bawah ....

Cam mana matching tak?satu meter S$20/-saya beli raw silk kalau pure silk 3 ply satu meter S$28/-

Lepas habis beli kain kami pun tuju ke ..........

tempat di atas ........... semua yg hadir 20 orang termasuk kanak2 ..... riuh pun bolih tahan .... dan yg menyambut hari lahir in May and June ..... Happy Birthday.

Ni saya tapau balik untuk makan esok di tempat kerja ..... no school no canteen.

Sunday blues

Is the title wrong?sunday blues?and not monday blues??

Nevermind ok to me today is sunday blues getting up this morning with pain of my left knee actually its at the inner side of the knee.It hurts when I walk so what have I been doing all morning after my breakfast?................lepak habis atas katil ... kejap2 go online...when hungry look for leftover food.








I bought these kuih lopes last sunday from the makcik stall at the market that lot for S$5.00 ... ia bit expensive I should say but then if you were to do it yourself it takes time and may also cost a bit having to boil them for few hours rite?

A close up after removing it from the plastic .... I just need to steam them again for few minutes.

The set come with 2 small packet of gula melaka syrup.

But need to buy the grated coconut yourself ... so I need to steam that too with a pinch of salt.

There it is my breakfast today 2 pieces of kuih lopes ... yummy....I still 8 more pcs maybe for next sunday .... hahaha

It should be 5 sisters but unfortunately youngest sis Aini is away in New York for a meeting so bro Fandi took over .... hahaha


Just got these photos from my niece Huda taken my camera at the airport when we sent Maria and John off the other night ... this is only from 5 siblings.

John emailed this afternoon to say they arrived safely home and am now zzzzzzzzzz after that long flight.

Good-bye till we meet again

Its was a night of hugging and saying goodbye to John and Maria at the airport last night and tears is a

goodbye and hope to see you again soon.


I left work earlier by an hour so that I can spend more time with them before the leave and on my way home I bought the followings as they haven't had time to try them yet since they were here ........





Yes I bought them from my mamak stall in my neighbourhood .... rojak india,bihun goreng and kway teow goreng mamak style.It has been a while since I too had them and the minute I got home I ate them ...so sedapppp.





My bil Kam came to fetch us at around 7.45pm to go to the airport eventhough the flight is not till 2.15am(sat) as he wants to treat again so we ended at Fish & Co and again we makan small bites .....

Since we already had an early dinner of the mamak stuff we shared this sea food platter ....

But Ram who hasn't had her dinner yet ordered this salmon dish ............

My bro Fandi and family joinned us an hour later at 10pm and we headed to ya kun for kopi and roti kaya(breakfast)....hahahaha

Lina and family joinned us at 11 plus and we sat till midnight and once John and Maria has checked in we waved goodbye and left for home and by time I got home it was past 1am.

The house seem so quiet when I got up this morning and this is what its going to be till I have my next guests........
